The key task for our air conditioning laboratory facilities is to develop and enhance our products by carrying out analyses using state-of-the-art measuring technology. One area that is gaining in importance involves cross-product system solutions, which have to meet individual product requirements as effectively as possible.

For this reason, our ventilation and air conditioning specialists test for all the relevant measurements based on the project parameters under realistic conditions in the product planning stage.

Air conditioning technology is dynamic: requirements relating to energy efficiency, air quality and resource conservation are growing all the time. With its wide range of cutting-edge laboratory and testing facilities, the research and development centre we opened at our Lingen headquarters in 2012 has everything we need to respond quickly and flexibly to current needs using new developments and advancements.

It also gives us the freedom to spur on advances in the field of air conditioning technology with intelligent innovations. At the same time, it reflects a company philosophy that is based on sustainability and responsibility.

Ventilation and air conditioning systems on trial

Multifunction rooms

The lab has two multifunction rooms with the dimensions of typical office rooms (16 m² and 25 m²). In these rooms, we can demonstrate various ventilation and air conditioning systems, and measure their performance.

In the demonstration room, we give visitors to the R&D centre an insight into how various room ventilation and air conditioning products work.

Acoustics

The acoustics lab provides us with the noise emission values for active and passive ventilation and air conditioning components. The testing facility consists of a transmission and receiving room.

In addition to the sound power level measurement in the reverberation test room (DIN EN ISO 3741), the testing facility allows us to determine building acoustic characteristics, such as components’ sound insulation level or transmission loss.

Industry

In a 200 m² area of the R&D centre, we analyse ventilation components designed for industrial and events halls. The 12 m ceiling height allows us to install and operate the components under realistic installation conditions.
